Enjoy fresh dory-caught fish!

Welcome to the vibrant and lively Dory Days Fish Fry! Set in the heart of Pacific City at the Kiawanda Community Center, this annual event brings together neighbors, friends, and families for an unforgettable meal of fresh dory-caught fish provided by Kiwanda Reef Fish Co.

The event is held at the Kiawanda Community Center from Noon until 5PM and is managed by volunteers and local celebrity chef Ben Johnson from the Sportsman Pub and Grub. Prices are $19 for adults and $13 for kids 12 and under. Each plate includes fresh caught fish, coleslaw, baked beans, and a roll.

The fresh fish served at the Dory Days Fish Fry is proudly provided by local fisherman Marcus Geil, a third-generation commercial fisherman who fishes from a traditional Pacific City dory. Having spent his life on the Oregon coast, Marcus made his first trip on the ocean at just four years old and has worked professionally on the water for the past seven years. His deep knowledge of local fisheries and commitment to responsible fishing practices help ensure Oregon's marine resources remain healthy and abundant for future generations.

After your meal we invite you to explore the event grounds, where you’ll discover a variety of activities to engage in. The children’s area includes face painting and activities. In the Faye Jensen Hall you’ll find the incredible “Launching through the Surf: The Dory Fleet of Pacific City” historical exhibit from Linfield University.

The community fish fry is more than just delicious food and a fun gathering; it’s also an impactful opportunity to give back. The event is a fundraiser for the Pacific City Nestucca Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Pacific City Dorymen’s Association, allowing attendees to contribute to the betterment of the town while having a fantastic time.
